The Statesboro Youth Chorale (SYC) is a choral music performance and education program for children and teenagers. SYC emphasizes the development of musical skills and musical understanding through singing. Singing is the major focus of the musical experience, and it is a powerfully personal means of expression. We hope this experience will form the foundation for a life-long relationship with music for the singers and their families.

As the musical anchor of the Averitt Center for the Arts' vibrant youth programs, SYC, under the leadership of Sarah Hancock, is proud to be running five choirs!
